In 2019, two structural engineers – Luca Salvatori 
Prof. Luca Salvatori, PhDCo-founder and Technical Director Structural Engineer and Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Florence. Author of more than ninety scientific publications on topics including masonry mechanics, wind engineering, earthquake engineering, steel and reinforced-concrete structures, and computational mechanics. Experienced in the design and rehabilitation of structures and in the development of advanced engineering software.
and Johan Hoxha 
Eng. Johan HoxhaCo-founder and Managing Director Structural engineer with extensive experience in the design and management of complex civil and industrial projects. Specialized in the application of advanced structural analysis and design techniques, he combines project management skills with a strong command of numerical methods and the use of innovative materials for structural strengthening and seismic retrofitting.
– joined forces in Florence with a shared vision: to set a new standard in structural design and client service. Drawing on Luca’s deep expertise as Professor of Structural Mechanics at the University of Florence and Johan’s pioneering work in innovative materials, they laid the foundation for Sphera Engineering.
