Reinforced concrete

Simulation of Reinforced Concrete Structures at Ultimate Limit State

Back in 2001, we developed our first nonlinear finite element solver, implementing state-of-the-art constitutive models for concrete (rotating crack with transition to scalar damage).

The model was validated through comparison with experimental tests in the literature.

The model was used for the design of strut-and-tie reinforced-concrete walls with openings.

Our structural division continues to utilise the evolution of that solver and the relevant constitutive model.
